Accounting with precision.
Finance with purpose.

Running a business is demanding enough without worrying about the finances. I help sole traders and limited companies stay compliant, understand their numbers and make better decisions — whether you need annual accounts, ongoing support or temporary finance expertise.

What I do

The compliance is a given.
The rest is where I earn my fee.

Every accountant can prepare accounts and submit tax returns. My role doesn’t stop there. I help you understand what the numbers mean, identify opportunities to improve your business, and build finance processes that support long-term growth.

Statutory & compliance work
  • Annual accounts, prepared and filed
  • Corporation tax returns (CT600)
  • Self assessment (SA100)
  • Monthly & quarterly bookkeeping
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Payroll, RTI, P60s and P45s
  • Confirmation statements
  • Routine HMRC correspondence handled

Filed on time, checked properly, and explained before anything is submitted.

Beyond the filing

Where a finance background changes things

01

Management reporting that drives decisions

Monthly reports shouldn’t just explain what happened. I help you understand what the numbers are telling you, identify trends and focus on the areas that matter most.

02

Finance process reviews

Many businesses spend hours every month repeating manual tasks. I review your finance processes and recommend practical improvements that save time and reduce errors.

03

Growing with confidence

As businesses grow, finance becomes more complex. I help put the right reporting, controls and routines in place so your finance function grows with your business.

04

Accounting software support

Whether you’re starting from scratch or changing software, I’ll help you choose, implement and get the most from Xero or Sage.

05

Turning uncertainty into clarity

Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t preparing the accounts — it’s understanding what they’re telling you. I enjoy helping business owners turn uncertainty into practical decisions.

I'm a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and I run AgaDOes Finance, the practice arm of AL Precision Finance Ltd.

Before setting up in practice I managed finance operations in fast-growing businesses, which is where I learned that the accounts are only half the job. The other half is the process behind them — how information gets recorded, and how much of it could run automatically instead of by hand.

That's the part I enjoy most: clients often arrive with something they can't quite articulate — a sense the numbers aren't telling them what they need, or a task taking longer than it should. Turning that into a clear, workable answer is the work.

I work with sole traders, limited companies and start-ups, mostly on Xero and Sage — taking over from a previous accountant or starting from scratch. Start-ups are a particular favourite: there’s real satisfaction in getting the foundations right while everything is still being built, rather than untangling it two years later.
